I am standing in my kitchen cooking sausage and grits for breakfast and thinking of my grandmother. When I was a child, she would sometimes cook us a breakfast of sausage, grits, and biscuits – homemade biscuits. It was so long ago, but I can remember the taste and texture of the biscuits. I remember her oven. I remember the jelly she used to make and store in mason jars on shelves under the counter. Childhood Memories.
I wish I had some of those biscuits right now.

I have decided to start canning
I don’t think anything compare to homemade jelly.
I remember getting up watching my mom make biscuits when I was too young to go to school. Thankfully that hankering to make biscuits has never left me. I don’t make them every week or every weekend but when I do, it’s on.
Thanks for the memories.
I have never attempted to make biscuits from scratch, but I think I should add this to my to-do list.
Good luck with your canning and thanks for stopping by.
