Dear Electronics god,

There are so many things I need! (Need actually means want in this instance.)
1. New SLR and lenses (maybe a Canon this time)
2. A quality video camera – prosumer or above
3. Lighting kit
4. Photo and video processing software
5. A desktop Mac
6. A new external hard drive (or 2)
7. A comfortable office chair and desk

There are other things I actually need, dear Electronics god, like summer clothes and a maid to clean apartment, but I’m not as concerned about those things. It’s possible these are also wants, but I refuse to acknowledge it.

Thank you, oh great giver of circuits and electricity. I look forward to receiving these things soon.

I haven’t done any research on any of the items above. I should turn this list into a 2013 goal list. If you are knowledgeable about the above items on my list, please share your suggestions in the comments. What’s your favorite Canon camera? Did you switch from Nikon to Canon? If so, how hard was it to adjust to the buttons and menus? How about video processing? Final Cut or Adobe Premiere?
