*cues Julie Andrews* These are a few of my favorite things
Last night I went shopping and picked up a few food items for the house. I posted a picture, but I don’t need you to make fun of my refrigerator and freezer. I know my cupboards are bare! I keep very little food in my apartment because it forces me to go outside on my days off. Ok, so if I were being honest, I don’t care to cook and see no point in letting perfectly good food go to waste in my kitchen.
On to the good stuff!
1. Simply Lemonade with Mango – Have you tried it yet? Maybe you don’t know this, but I like
all most things mango. I have never purchased the Simply Lemonade drinks before, but they caught my eye when I saw the word mango. They had me at mango and now I’m on to bottle number 2! I purchased my most recent bottle at Walmart last night for $2.50. I have no idea if it costs less elsewhere, but if it does, let me know!
2. Magnum Double Chocolate Ice Cream bars – OMG I had one of these last night and it was soooo good. I’m not sure there is any more that I can say about this. I mean, it’s chocolate on top of chocolate on top of chocolate. What other explanations do you need? I have also had the double caramel ice cream. My only complaint is that I need a dark chocolate ice cream with a dark chocolate coating. I know they have the one with the vanilla ice cream dipped in dark chocolate, but I want all dark chocolate everything! Make it happen, Magnum!
3. Barilla No Boil Lasagne noodles – I hate to admit this, but I can make a mean lasagna (when I follow this specific Better Homes and Gardens recipe from the cookbook my grandmother gave me years ago). I’m not big on the idea of boiling lasagna noodles so when I saw these no boil noodles on the shelf back in 2009, I grabbed them and loved them. Well, now they are back in my life and I’m going to make an easy lasagna based on my friend Valerie’s recipe from my college days. Unfortunately this event will be delayed because I forgot to pick up some mozzarella cheese.
What are a few of your favorite food things? Have you tried these? I’m always on the lookout for new things to consider incorporating into my current diet. (That means I’m willing to think about trying your suggestion )
