I love to read a certain type of book as an escape from everyday life. This need to escape can be quite costly, so I started looking for alternative resources (including online downloads from my local library). Which reminds me, I have a book waiting for download from my library right now! Check to see if your library offers this option on Overdrive.com.

I also read stories on Wattpad.com because they are free. The people who post their stories here write simply because they love to write. I’ve been reading on Wattpad for a couple of months and I have finally learned my lesson! I will no longer read stories unless they have been completed. It’s torturous to wait for the next chapter to be posted whenever the author is ready to upload it! AARGH! I can’t take the suspense! Right now I am reading a couple of stories like this because I started them without realizing they weren’t yet complete.

So basically, I have found a way to feed my need for books without spending too much of my budget. It’s obvious I have to control this because the Amazon.com one-click payment method and easy access via my iPad are trying to make me forget that the balance in my bank account isn’t infinite. LOL

Are you curious about the type of book I like to read? Yes? Well, I enjoy reading historical romance novels. I enjoy reading about lords, ladies, mistresses, kings, knights, lairds, and so on. I love the stories about Dukes who marry maids, and chits who behave like hoydens. I also enjoy a good historical romance time travel book or good witch type of book. Teresa Medeiros is really good at writing these types of books.
