What Happens At Christmas by Victoria Alexander
I am posting what is probably the shortest book review in the history of book reviews.
What Happens at Christmas is a cute Christmas story set in 1886 England. The author took on a daunting task of creating what felt like 1000 different characters for this story, but somehow I managed to keep them all straight. (That’s what happens when the lead character decides to hire actors to play the role of her family in order to impress a prince.) The overall story was adorable, but I did become annoyed by some of the scenes I didn’t think were needed. For example, I thought the mother/daughters scene where they aired all of their grievances was too long. I also thought the first 2 chapters could have been shorter and combined. With that being said, I loved the story of Grayson and Camille. Although, I think I liked Grayson more than Camille.
