sigh
Today is my day off. In fact, it is the first day off of my 3 day weekend.
I just got up and walked into my kitchen to find something to eat for breakfast and I kid you not; my thought was of the beef I cooked for nachos a few days ago.
So I go to the fridge in search of food and I glanced over to the stove…
[insert an extra loud profane word here]
Do you know what I saw? Do you?!
I somehow managed to leave the cooked meat on the stove for 2 days. TWO DAYS!
Ok, so this proves a couple of things:
1. I shouldn’t cook during the work week if I can’t remember to refrigerate the cooked food.
2. I don’t go into my kitchen often during the work week.
It probably proves some other things, but I’m going to stick with the immediately obvious ones for now.
See?! This is why I don’t cook. Supposedly I would be saving money by cooking my own food. Well, obviously that’s not true, because all I end up dong is throwing away food I bring into my apartment. UGH!
If it’s juice, soda, grits, or the occasional carrot, it’s safe and welcome to live here with me in perfect harmony. If it’s a raw meat, well, it has a 50% chance of being cooked. And then, it has another 50% chance of being eaten before I throw it away due to forgetfulness.
I pity the food that gets purchased by me.
