I received a free sample of Miss Jessie’s products in the mail yesterday.

Did you know you can go to their site and request 2 free samples? I had to go this route because there is no way in the world I am going to pay $22-32 at Target for a hair product that does nothing for my natural hair texture. So, I am going to try this product some time this weekend and I’ll let you know if I plan to take the plunge and pay full price.

At this point I’m not too encouraged as the brochure they included shows women of a different ethnicity with the most amazing curls. Um…Miss Jessie? You do know my hair is not like the hair of these ladies, right? ok, I guess we shall see what happens.

I’ll also be watching youTube videos of others who have used these products. The hard part is ignoring the women who have defined, shiny natural curls and finding them women who have frizzy curls like me. I already know YouTube will probably own my life for a few hours.

Yep. I’m skeptical that my hair will welcome Miss Jessie with a warm and loving embrace.
