Dear me,
You have been busy these last few weeks! I cannot believe you moved twice within a 2.5 week timespan. LOL At this point, everyone on twitter and G+ is used to you moving shenanigans, but it still – that’s a lot of moving. From what I gleaned from the twitterverse, that last apartment wasn’t making you happy. Well dear, we both know that where you live is important to your mental well being, so I’m glad you quickly realized the error of your ways. Hopefully this time you will be able to sit still for longer than 12 months.
Your new place feels like it could be “home” for a while. Of course, I’m sure you say that to all of the apartments when the relationship is brand new. I am actually surprised you feel comfortable in a 630sq ft apartment when you just spent a year in 1100sq ft. I have a feeling it’s all in the floorplan, finishes, and details of the apartment, and the beauty of the fall leaves outside your window. I am happy to see you chose a smaller place because it will be physically impossible to buy more furniture. HA! Save your money for something else, Danielle. Oh yeah, I have seen the kitchen (your G+stream has a wealth of information.) I expect to see many more posts from you about the food you’ve cooked in it. You have no excuse, missy! With such a lovely place to cook, it’s time to master food wizardry.
Danielle, I read somewhere that you are participating in NaNoWriMo this year. How is that going? I read the excerpt you wrote titled Chronicles of a Wayward Mind. Interesting stuff, but…um…you’ve only written 685 words so far. That’s quite far from novel status. Now that you’ve finished moving all over Atlanta this month, I suggest you settle down and put pen to paper (or fingers to screen) and get on with this writing business. The only thing I could see interrupting your quality writing time is that podcast of yours.
You seem to be enjoying yourself with this podcast/online radio show. I have listened to all 12 episodes of Chocolate Starved Lives, and I must say that I am impressed by your steady growth AND your commitment to creating a weekly entertainment show. I remember in the beginning you mentioned your throat would be sore the day after recording. I’m glad to hear that is no longer the case. You see? Talking isn’t all that bad. I remember laughing to myself when you sat stunned after realizing that you had interviewed your first guest. Y’all weren’t just talking, you were conducting an interview. It’s amazing what you can do when you stop thinking and just start doing.
I have heard whispers that you might be considering a second podcast of a different variety. I say go for it! Put that Blue Yeti microphone to good use.
Here is a last tidbit of information: I heard you will be heading to Texas for a wedding in a juke joint. Well, all right, Miss Color Purple! Enjoy yourself but don’t upset Ms Sophia and end up like Squeak.
It’s fall, so stay warm. I know you have to go shopping for winter clothes and shoes *cackling* I know how much you’re going to love that. Ha Ha!
Don’t forget to write me more often. I know that you sometimes get caught up in telling me about the food you’ve eaten or someone else you want to try, but I want to hear more about you.
Take care of yourself
DanielleJ
